Reports are out and so many people are reporting weight gain, feeling sluggish and not too mentioned stressed out with the kids being home. At this time, we all need our health, peace of mind and less stress. Of course, health along with God is your true wealth and without these two things, nothing else really matters. So, below are 5 ways to stay healthy during these challenging times:
1) Get Structured. It’s important to establish a routine and this is especially important when you have school-aged children in the home. It’s important to create a structured schedule
2) Purchase Healthy Foods. It’s important to stay away from breads, sugar, salt and other foods that can add up the calories, cause bloating, and increase the blood pressure not to mention weight gain.
3) Stay Hydrated.
It’s so important to drink plenty of water and stay hydrated and flush out toxins. Make sure you drink half of your body weight in ounces. Having your own personal water bottle or glass really helps.
4) Exercise. If you are used to going to the gym, many gyms and exercise coaches have free Zooms. You can also go on YouTube for hundreds of free exercise videos. One of my favorites is Tie Bow with Billy Blanks (an oldy, but goody) . I think he did an updated special quarantine version from his home. Of course, I still love the old ones:)
5) Slow It Down. This is a time to be grateful for being here. It’s time for you to really know what your priorities are and not stress yourself out about things you have no control over.
Who would have thought that we would still be in Quarantine at this time. However, only God knows best! So many people are losing loved ones, so let’s make a commitment to stay prayed up and healthy.
