Being in the Network Marketing Industry for more than 9 years has truly taught me a lot about why some people succeed and others fail. While there are many factors, one of the primary ones is a person’s Belief System!
When experiencing challenges in building your team, it’s not uncommon to be tested in the area of your beliefs. You’ll witness others doing well and making a great income and you’ll wonder if it ever can happen for you too.
The answer is YES, of course it can happen for! But first, you must believe that you can accomplish anything that you set your mind to. You must believe it with conviction and without anyone else having to tell you so! When you no longer have to be convinced by others, but you are convicted you are well on your to your next level!
So, let’s look at the definition of what it means to be convicted. Conviction is an unshakable, fixed or firm belief in something without need for proof or evidence. You simply “know what you know”. This is something that most people in Network Marketing don’t have, because it wasn’t brought to their attention that it’s a requirement. This is not to say that you can’t have some level of success, but with conviction you can Build Big Business and have massive success!!
Below are 7 ways you can power up your belief system!
- Belief by association
Jim Rohn says “You are the average of the 5 people that you spend the most time with”. This relates to the law of average. The people you hang out with at your place of work or at home can greatly influence your belief system. If you hung out with people who have been in the Network Marketing industry for a long time and they have the spirit of conviction, then you will be determined to function the same way. However, being in the company of those who are not convicted and have poor work ethics will only impact you negatively.
- Personal Development
You can power up your belief system by taking the time to work on yourself spiritually, mentally and physically. I recommend that you take at least one hour (30 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes at night) of quiet time each day. During this time, meditate, focus, and not only concentrate, but listen to people that will motivate you to success. However, I don’t want you to just get motivated, I want you to TAKE ACTION! Working on yourself consistently will bring momentum to your desired outcome.
- Make use of images
Remember the words of Napoleon Hill, “Whatever your mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve.” This is a very easy way to power up that belief in yourself. In fact, this is the most recommended technique by therapists. You can use images to power up your belief system. What this means is that you should get magazines, go online and find those inspiring images of what you want to achieve.
It is also recommended that you take your camera everywhere you go as you conduct your Network Marketing duties and post pictures of your achievements all around you. Although this is not everything, it will greatly help. For example, I keep images of different levels of achievement in my company all around me. This helps me to stay focused and inspired. It reminds me of what I’m consistently working towards for the next goal. No matter how much success I have achieved, I always continue to push forward to the next level, because sometimes success can be the enemy of progress. As long as you are alive there is always a next level, regardless of how successful you are currently.
- Use of Words
Words are triggers for many people and they can be used positively or negatively. They invoke people to either stand in their fear or move forward and take action. Did you know that you can actually affirm your beliefs (written or verbal) by using your own words? What most people don’t know is that their words are creating what they are experiencing.
So, It is important to understand that every time you speak, you are bringing something into creation. So, get into the habit of speaking and writing affirmations that uplevel your belief system. Watch what you say, because your own negative words can be destructive.
- Move Past Traditional Beliefs
The traditional beliefs of going to school, getting good grades and getting a job has been failing 95% of people for centuries. Yet, because it is a tradition people have been buying into this system and spending thousands of dollars to still come out of college with many struggles. But this is what they grew up in, this is what we’ve been shown. So when entering the Network Marketing industry it’s important to recognize that this belief has served it’s purpose, but now free enterprise and entrepreneurship and taking your success in your own hands has proven to be a better way – even for the average person to live above average lives. So, you are not any different.
- Use belief props
You can power up your belief system by making use of belief props. In fact, they are so much fun to use and can be effective. For instance, you can write yourself a check in any amount would like. Also, send yourself a congratulatory letter for a promotion that you would like to get in your company or a letter that you have already received. Allow these props to inspire and motivate you to achieve your next level success.
- Use evidence
Seek out the wisdom of those who have achieve the success you would like to have. This will be evidence for your belief and it will help you to create your blueprint for success. However, it is important to understand that the skills associated with evidence based believing are developed as we mature and get stronger through coaching, training and education.
Your belief system has everything to do with how well you do in Network Marketing and it’s important to understand that in order to accomplish your financial goals and rise to the top, you must develop a belief system that supports your vision and goals.
